Being a parent of a child with autism affects every aspect of a caregiver’s life. One aspect that is often overlooked is the mental and emotional health of the parent. Join Linda Cooper, MA, of Hope Behavioral Health, and Connecting for Kids for this five-part workshop aimed at empowering Black American caregivers and building community for ASD families. This series includes education on grief and navigating the complex emotions connected to caregiving. Learn coping skills to decrease anxiety and depression as well as exercises that help caregivers focus on gratitude. This workshop culminates in a celebration of new expectations and hope.
For Black American Caregivers. This is a psychoeducational peer support group for adults only. We ask that registrants commit to attending all 5 sessions.
