The statistics we're sharing this month come from a data brief published by the Health Policy Institute of Ohio (HPIO). HPIO provides comprehensive research and analysis focused on the many factors that influence health. Some of the facts we'll be sharing are:
Anxiety12% of Ohio children have moderate or severe anxiety. This is higher than the national average (10%). | Depression1 in 5 children with special health care needs currently have depression. This is 19% higher than kids with no health concerns. | ADHD12% of Ohio children are diagnosed with ADHD. This is higher than the national average (10%). | MEDB25% of children nationwide reported one or more mental, emotional, developmental or behavioral (MEDB) problems. |
