In order to protect the privacy of our subscribers, Connecting for Kids does not allow photography or recording at any of our programs, with the following exceptions:
- On occasion, Connecting for Kids may hire a professional photographer and/or employ a member of the staff/volunteer to photograph/record participants in a program or event. On these occasions, participants will be presented with a photo release form and will be given the opportunity to "opt out" of being photographed.
- During Speaker Series programs, a member of Connecting for Kids staff will take an audio recording for the purposes of creating a podcast. Prior to publishing, all audio recordings are carefully edited to remove personally identifying characteristics of participants in attendance.
- Beginning in the 2018-2019 program year, "Phone Zone" pilot programs will be offered to allow families who enjoy taking photos of their children and sharing these moments via social media to do so. Families will be notified in advance that the session has been designated as a Phone Zone and, should they choose to participate in a Phone Zone program, they will be required to complete a release form during registration.
