Description of Presentation

What red flags should you look for to indicate your child may have a delay in vision skill development? Could your child’s classroom performance be helped by improved visual skills? Vision is more than just seeing 20/20. This program will feature a panel discussion with Dr. Alex Andrich, OD, FCOVD, from The Vision Development Team, and Dr. Leah Steele, OD, from Madison Eye Care. Dr. Andrich will discuss development of vision skills from birth to grade school. He will also discuss how functional vision deficits can often be misdiagnosed as ADHD and dyslexia. Dr. Steele will discuss visual skills needed in the classroom as well as symptoms that can occur when there are problems with these visual skills. She will also discuss treatment options to help resolve these problems when they are detected.
