Connecting for Kids (CFK) provides resources, support and community to families in Northeast Ohio who have concerns about their child. We serve all families, including those children with and without diagnoses.

Speaker Series

Supporting the Whole Child (ages 0-12)

Join Abby Schultz, MS, EIS, of Purposeful Growth & Wellness, for a conversation on how understanding a child’s full developmental picture can lead to deeper, more personalized support. This program will introduce key ideas from Polyvagal Theory and DIR/Floortime, highlighting how a focus on safety, connection and child-led play can transform how we understand behavior.

Understanding Your Child’s Unique Voice (ages 0-12)

Join Anne Fleming Anderson, MA, CCC-SLP, Senior Clinical Speech Pathologist with the Cleveland Clinic, who will introduce key ideas from Gestalt language processing, explore how to reframe traditional views of speech and pragmatic language and offer practical tools for supporting communication in a way that is respectful, responsive and empowering.

Pizza, Prizes and Waivers: A Night of Fun & Learning (ages 0-12)

Join Ginger Wilson, from Disability Rights Ohio, who will break down the basics of waivers, eligibility, what they cover and how to navigate the appeals process if needed. Enjoy pizza, snacks, games and prizes while connecting with other families in your community. This event is presented in partnership with M.O.V.E. - Mamas Organizing Voter Economics.

Share & Support Groups

Caregiver Support Group: Parenting is Lonely (ages 0-12)

Share & Support is a peer support group where caregivers can meet families on a similar journey. Join CFK staff for virtual, monthly themed sessions where we'll share our "roses" (joys), "thorns" (struggles) and "buds" (hopes) to foster connection and support.

  • Learn to use music to enhance gross motor skills, develop body awareness and practice social skills.
