Learn about organic farming, tour the farm and help with the harvest at Coleman Gardens, LLC.

Coleman Gardens is a small farm that uses natural growing practices and is on its way to organic certification. The fenced, 2-acre farm provides a variety of produce all summer long to families and businesses in the area, including salad lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, basil and more. Participants in this program will have the opportunity to:

  • Tour the farm
  • Participate in harvest activities
  • Sample organically grown produce
  • Ask questions about the benefits of organic produce

Registration is limited to 10 families, due to limited parking. All ages are welcome to attend and the event is open to the entire family. Most of the farm has dirt/gravel paths; however, we were able to accommodate children with mobility challenges last year with a wagon. If you have a concern or question about access to the farm, please contact webmaster@connectingforkids.org.

Additional Notes: Coleman Gardens produces honey and has an active bee hive. The tour does not include a visit to the hive, but those with bee allergies should take all necessary precautions. Please wear closed-toe shoes (no flip-flops) to this event.
