Attention Issues and ADHD

Attention issues and ADHD are some of the most common concerns shared by Connecting for Kids families. Nearly 1 in 10 U.S. children between the ages of 2 - 17 years are diagnosed with ADHD.

Children learn to pay attention, organize and focus as they grow, but attention may become a problem when symptoms are impacting school work or keeping your child from enjoying regular activities. If you have a concern about attention, start with your child’s primary care provider. You can also get tips for coping with attention issues or ADHD at home in the solutions and resources sections of this guide.

This guide will introduce you to some of the most common symptoms of attention issues and ADHD.
