Siblings typically have the longest-lasting relationship with a person who has a disability, but families often feel unsure of how to support the typically developing children. Join Connecting for Kids and the Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Ohio for a parent and sibling support program. This program is open to all families with any diagnosis or disability.
Children ages 7-12 will meet other sibs, play games, craft, and have the chance to talk about the good and not-so-good parts of having a sibling with disabilities. In a separate room, caregivers will have the chance to connect with other families and learn about ongoing opportunities for sibling support.
This registration is for the caregiver and typically developing siblings ages 7-12. Supervised children’s activities are available for additional siblings under 7 or for siblings with disabilities- registration is required.
This program is presented in partnership with Cuyahoga County Public Library.
