Virtual Zoom Early Childhood Education Series: Making the Most of Movement Activities

  • 15 Sep 2020
  • 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Registration

Registration is closed

Could your child benefit from more movement to get some energy out while quarantining at home? Did you know that motor activities can also help your child regain focus, increase attention and support learning? Join CFK Early Intervention professionals Paula C. Papp, M.A.Ed., and Neysa McKenney, M.A., CCC-SLP, to learn how to set up an obstacle course in your home or yard for your child aged 18 months – 6 years. The course will not only provide a variety of movement opportunities, but will also integrate learning experiences such as counting, sequencing, letter identification, and following simple directions. In addition, Paula & Neysa will answer your questions on a variety of topics, which can be asked during the program or submitted upon registration. This program offers a safe space to connect with both our professionals and other families and will not be recorded. The first 20 households who register and sign on to Zoom will get a free obstacle course kit complete with cones, stepping spots, a ball, colored tape and a handout with obstacle course ideas.

Register using the link below and you will be emailed information about how to join the program using the free Zoom app or by calling in using a toll-free number.

This program is presented in partnership with Westlake Porter Public Library and is supported by a grant from GPD Employees’ Foundation. The Virtual Early Childhood Education Series is sponsored by the Westlake Early Childhood PTA.

*One free giveaway per household*

Due to grant funding, program is for Northeast Ohio residents only.
