Westlake Recreation Center Playground (Westlake, OH)

28955 Hilliard Blvd, Westlake, OH 44145

Park Website: cityofwestlake.org
Hours: Daily, dawn-dusk
Restroom: Yes, handicap accessible
Fenced: No
Roadway/Water Nearby:
There is a pond on the property, but it is not visible from the playground.
Adapted Equipment: Multiple pieces, including a wheel chair accessible climber and adapted swings.

Parent Comments: This playground very large. It has different play sets for different ages, making it hard to keep an eye on multiple children. It is not shaded, but shade umbrellas are positioned along the perimeter to give you a break. The two larger climbers are on mulch, but the smaller (adapted) climber is on an artificial surface, making it ideal for wheel chairs and strollers.

It is next to open soccer field that leads up to a hill. If you have a child who tends to run, this can be a stressor (from personal experience).
