Funds can be used to pay for enrichment, tutoring and other services families choose to make up for lost learning.
- Ohio Resident
- Current IEP or 504 plan
- Financial hardship
Applications are accepted by semester (spring, summer, fall). Application forms become available on the website roughly two months before the current semester is over (for example, the spring semester application appeared in early November).
Funding can be used to pay for the services of Learning Providers in the provider list on the Learning Aid Ohio website. Providers offer tutoring, structured reading and math intervention, special education support and other related services.

Ohio’s ACE funding comes from federal COVID relief funds and is allocated by state lawmakers on an annual basis. It is unclear whether this funding will be available in the 2024-2025 academic year, but in previous years, applications were accepted during the summer for the following academic year.
Funding can be used to reimburse qualified expenses from the ACE Education Marketplace. Examples include field trips, language classes, tutoring and arts.
