Do you work outside the home? I am an office manager for a church.
How has your idea of parenting changed?
Sometimes I just have to take each day as it comes, and not compare it
to the one before or the one yet to arrive. I take joy in what may seem
like a small accomplishment to another parent, but means a big deal in
our world. I've learned that even though my child may not be 'typical', I
am still a typical parent... good moments and bad moments all mixed
Is there anything else about your journey that you would like to share with other parents? The most important thing to remember is that we are not alone in our struggles and we have an entire army of support in others at CFK if we only reach out and make use of it.
Melissa is the parent of two children.
